I will never forget my favorite Christmas gift of all time. I was in the seventh grade when I received my first exercise VHS Donna Richardson workout tape! It was a dream come true.
Looking back, I don’t know that I can tell you exactly why fitness has always been a passion. However, I can tell you that it has been a constant friend to me throughout my life’s journey.
Living “clean” , as we say, is not about depriving yourself of life’s luscious treats, but it is a personal commitment to be better today than you were yesterday. For me, it has been a mentality that says if I want to be a pro, I have to train like a pro. Eat right, rest and exercise to build strength, stamina, flexibility and focus. Wellness is the secret weapon to balanced living as an entrepreneur. Only you can manage your health in a way that keeps you operating at peak performance while balancing the stress of life.
Yes, I admit there are days that I don’t feel motivated. However, 99% of the time when I start to move, nothing matters anymore. The fact that I had a bad day, the deal didn’t close…none of that matters. I can release the stress!
Putting me back in “time” helps me to be my best. Finding time to get back in touch with yourself by moving and breathing, even panting is one of life’s greatest joys. So even if you aren’t motivated, it is never too late to start moving. When you put first things first by taking care of yourself, the rest will fall in line.
